March 2-30, 2008. I am involved in a private project now that is taking a fair amount of my spare time. My apologies to my readers. The project takes priority over blogging. We continue to haul expedited freight and remain happy in the life and work.  Blog author  Top of page  Bottom of page

Saturday, March 1, 2008.  I learned today some about the life and times of Charlie Danko. He lives in New Jersey and came over to the Bordentown Petro truck stop, where we were parked, to meet us. Charlie and I became acquainted via the Hank's Truck Pictures Forum. Charlie

Hank's forum has been around a while. I am a relatively new participant there. It seems to be a well established and growing community of truck writers, historians, drivers, photographers, enthusiasts and others.

Charlie is one of many truck enthusiasts there. It was good to meet the man. I never realized that there are people out there that take their truck photography hobby quite seriously. They go out of their way to take truck photos, sometimes dedicating vacation time to the hobby. The knowledge they develop about trucking companies and equipment is extensive.

The picture of Charlie here is one I took of him as he took a shot of our truck.

A number of truck drivers talk about how lonly and boring truck driving can be. Driving team, Diane and I do not have that problem. In fact, trucking has greatly expanded our circle of friends and acquaintances. Blog author  Top of page  Bottom of page
